Job description

Story Behind the Need:

Business Group: Commercial Global Engineering
Project: The team is looking for a Salesforce Tester for a new IB initiative that aims to simplify the client and employee experience through a Salesforce E2E process and Data Modernization.
Role: The Salesforce Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of Salesforce applications.

Typical Day in Role:

  1. Design and execute test plans for Salesforce applications.
  2. Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies.
  3. Collaborate with development teams to understand features and functionalities.
  4. Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
  5. Participate in requirement and design review meetings to provide feedback from a testing perspective.
  6. Communicate effectively in both Spanish and English with team members and stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

  1. 5-8 years of experience in functional testing and Salesforce testing (e.g., Selenium, QTP).
  2. Financial industry experience.
  3. Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  4. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required for the international banking project.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  1. Certification in Salesforce or QA is a plus.
  2. Experience with test automation.
  3. Knowledge of regression and performance testing.
  4. Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
  5. Experience with SQL and SOQL.

  7. Open-minded approach and ability to assess each situation separately.
  8. Must collaborate closely with a team while being accountable for individual deadlines.
  9. Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate ideas effectively.
  10. Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  11. Detail-oriented with a passion for consistency.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Best vs. Average Candidate:

The best candidate would have Salesforce expertise and at least one or more Salesforce certifications, including experience with automation.

Candidate Review & Selection:

1st round – Hiring manager, Scrum Master, Architect, and QA – MS Team video call – 60 mins – Overview of the role, questions about QA/QC experience within Salesforce, technical questions, and Q&A session.
