Salesforce Field Service Administrator

The Salesforce Field Service Administrator supports and manages the Salesforce Field Service application to ensure smooth functionality and data accuracy for field service operations. This role focuses on the administrative side of the platform, including system maintenance, data management, reporting, user support, and compliance. Working closely with the field operations, support and IT teams, the Administrator ensures that the system meets user needs and supports key data and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration & Maintenance:

  • Handle day-to-day Salesforce Field Service administration tasks, such as managing user accounts, permission sets, and access controls.
  • Perform regular system checks, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and ensuring the platform is running efficiently.
  • Coordinate system updates and improvements with IT and other stakeholders to enhance platform usability.

User Support & Training:

  • Provide technical support to users, answering questions and troubleshooting issues within Salesforce Field Service.
  • Conduct user onboarding and periodic training sessions to ensure efficient and consistent use of the platform.
  • Create and update user documentation and training materials to guide field service teams in platform usage.

Data Management & Integrity:

  • Monitor and maintain data accuracy, integrity, and cleanliness within Salesforce Field Service.
  • Implement processes to regularly update and validate data, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain best practices for data entry, storage, and access within the Salesforce platform.

Reporting & Data Analysis:

  • Generate and distribute regular reports and dashboards that provide insights into field service activities, as requested by management.
  • Support the operations team with data analysis to ensure they have accurate information to make informed decisions.
  • Customize report templates and dashboards to meet the specific needs of different user groups.

Compliance & Security:

  • Ensure that Salesforce Field Service operations adhere to all data security and compliance requirements, both internal and regulatory.
  • Manage user roles, profiles, and permissions to ensure sensitive data is protected and accessed only by authorized personnel.
  • Stay informed about Salesforce platform updates and security features, applying necessary adjustments to ensure continued compliance.

Documentation & Process Improvement:

  • Document Salesforce Field Service processes and workflows, including data management practices and user procedures.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline administrative tasks and enhance data management efficiency.
  • Maintain a clear record of all changes to the system configuration for future reference and troubleshooting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in Salesforce administration, preferably with Field Service Lightning or similar CRM systems.
  • Certification: Salesforce Administrator certification is preferred; additional Field Service certifications are a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Salesforce setup and administration tasks, including data management, user roles, and access controls.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to data accuracy, record-keeping, and compliance standards.
  • Communication Skills: Clear communication skills to support and train users, as well as collaborate with other administrators and stakeholders. Written and verbal communication in English is a requirement.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with field service data management best practices and KPI tracking.
  • Experience creating and managing reports and dashboards within Salesforce.
  • Bilingual in French and English in verbal and written communication.
