Job Overview
As our Sales Manager, you will drive business growth through direct sales solicitation, focusing on Association and Trade Show Markets, Business Travel Sales, and Group Business. Your expertise in developing client relationships and securing corporate travel will be key to meeting and exceeding our room night sales and revenue targets.
Key Job Duties
Client Development: Establish and maintain a robust client base of agencies, corporations, and organizations through proactive outside and inside selling.
Business Prospecting: Actively seek and qualify new business opportunities using tools like Agency 360.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate guest room rates within approved guidelines and produce accurate sales contracts and rate agreements.
Collaboration: Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Event Representation: Represent the hotel at trade shows, conventions, and special events, conducting site inspections and client tours.
Reporting & Forecasting: Generate monthly sales reports and forecasts to track performance and inform strategic decisions.
Plus additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Some college education plus a minimum of 2 years of sales or marketing-related experience; a related degree is preferred.
Prior hotel sales experience is an asset, with Marriott experience considered a plus.
Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills with the ability to travel as needed.
Must be able to work in a dynamic environment that may require evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
