Job description

As a Sales Manager, you will be promoting concrete flooring solutions to large general contractors throughout the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario. This sales position is a player-coach role. As an individual contributor managing existing accounts and developing new clients, it is also a leadership role, managing a team of two which includes estimating and customer service. You will be responsible for developing new business and strengthening existing customer relationships. This position includes a base salary of $115,000 - $125,000.

Our client has over 25 years of experience working in the concrete flooring solutions industry. Some of their clients include Costco, Lowes, PetSmart, Ellisdon and PCL Construction. They offer Floor Leveling Epoxy Coatings, Polished Concrete, Floor Patching and Repair. The culture is collaborative, upbeat, driven and flexible.

THE LOCATION

  • Office location: Cambridge, ON
  • This is primarily a work-from-office role with client site visits required

THE POSITION
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be promoting concrete flooring solutions to contractors and small to medium-sized businesses throughout the Greater Toronto Area. You will be responsible for developing new business.

PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS
You will be selling to large general contractors within the Greater Toronto Area and throughout Canada, that may require concrete flooring solutions, waterproofing and/or floor levelling services. You will be contacting and selling to Construction Managers, Project Managers, Estimators and Business Owners.

PRODUCT & SALES CYCLE

  • The average sales cycle is 4 months
  • The average sale ranges from $250,000 - $1,000,000

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES

  • Prospecting/Lead Generation
  • Some leads supplied
  • Visiting Potential Clients
  • Presenting/Closing
  • After sale account management
  • Various administrative Duties

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base Salary $115,000 - $130,000

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in outside sales selling to Contractors
  • 2+ Years of leadership experience
  • Ability to read drawings/ an engineering background an asset

EDUCATION

  • Post-secondary, or professional experience equivalent.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Computer - Highly Proficient/ Multitasking
  • MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint
