Position Overview:

And that's why we do what we do and we want you to join us – be part of the new Safety Ambassador team at Budweiser Stage where our staff are our crew members and have the unique opportunity to create an exceptional fan experience.

Exceptional front-line customer service, willing to go above and beyond for both fans and fellow crew members, possess a positive 'can-do' attitude… rain or shine - the show must go on!

Job Functions:

1. Assist with keeping the venue safe, clean and presentable to the guest
2. Identify guests in possible distress or experiencing a medical issue and liaise with medical staff to connect appropriate care
3. Proactively approach escalating situations to deescalate in a calm manner
4. Warn persons of rule infractions or violations of venue policies, preserve safety & order
5. Provide assistance to guests with special needs, such as helping with seat accommodations, or those who may be having a mental health episode
6. Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency
7. May assist in verifying staff credentials to generally restricted areas and examine tickets or VIP passes to verify authenticity
8. Assist patrons by giving directions places inside or outside the venue
9. Lock-down of areas and access control duties for guest and artist safety
10. Help create a protective space for our fans that encourages reporting of incidents
11. May write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
12. Show CARE by participating in the venue’s sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling and educating our fans about our efforts
13. Must participate in Live Nation Canada zero waste/sustainability initiatives at the venue
14. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
2. Experience in mental health, community services, and/or health and safety fields strongly preferred
3. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
4. Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy
5. Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs and occasional sitting
6. Able to work outdoors (rain or shine), among crowds and in a loud environment
7. A passion for live events!

All crew members must be 18 years of age, and available for a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and overnight.
