Responsibilities:

Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, and maintaining them.

The Resources will act as subject matter experts on a variety of cloud and AI project initiatives such as enabling and designing the Government of Ontario's clouds (Azure, AWS, IBM, Oracle, and GCP), designing and configuring advanced security for existing and new cloud providers, assisting with complex setup of public cloud providers by creating reusable patterns, and updating and creating provisioning pipelines for the Government Cloud offerings by writing and maintaining a provisioning code base for infrastructure delivery as well as data gathering and reporting.

Cloud Knowledge and Experience - 50%:

Demonstrated experience enabling and designing the Government of Ontario's clouds (Azure, AWS, IBM, Oracle, and Google) with environments that are of the same scale as the Government of Ontario Cloud or BPS environments.

Communications and Customer Service - 25%:

Demonstrated experience working with customers/key stakeholders and using communication skills to resolve operational issues, negotiate, or document process-related intelligence.

Analysis and Problem-Solving - 25%:

Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving incidents in Azure/AWS/IBM/GCP/Oracle Cloud environments and working with vendor partners.

Must Haves:

• Proven ability to work with complex SQL queries, potentially hundreds or thousands of lines in length.
• Proficiency with Power BI and DAX.
• Demonstrated experience in Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Storage, ADF, and Azure Analysis Service.
• Create highly dynamic visualizations and metrics using Power BI.
• Design and develop BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
• Implement, maintain, and support BI solutions in Microsoft and other BI platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and working knowledge of cloud migration.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure data analytics tools, such as Azure Data Factories, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse.

Nice to Have:

• Prior public sector experience would be an asset.
