Tacten is seeking professional, energetic, and forward-thinking JP Pipefitters with IRATA (Rope Access) certification to support our client site at CNRL Albian in Fort McMurray, AB for their upcoming Spring Shutdown!
Responsibilities
- Installation and Assembly
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings.
- Assemble and install piping systems and related equipment following specifications.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using various tools and equipment.
- Install supports, valves, and other control equipment.
- Maintenance and Repair
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems.
- Perform regular maintenance to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Replace defective or worn components as necessary.
- Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure work is performed in compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work collaboratively with other trades, contractors, and team members.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers regarding project status and any issues encountered.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and less experienced pipefitters.
Position Requirements
- Journeyman Pipefitting Certification Required
- IRATA Level 1 required, or willingness to obtain. We provide free training!
Safety Certifications
- CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO
- CSE/M (Confined Space and Monitor and Entry)
- ESC Fall Protection an asset
