The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring fresh and sanitized rooms for all guests and prepares each room assigned for the arrival of new guests in accordance with the hotel's service standards.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year cleaning experience in a hotel or related industry.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of guests, employees, and management.
Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
Daily Tasks
Cleans and makes up all rooms according to the Hyatt brand standards by performing such daily activities as:
Removal of all rubbish in waste bins and ashtrays.
Making up beds with fresh linen.
Dusting each piece of furniture inside and outside including lamps, shades, pictures, and doors.
Vacuuming and spot cleaning of carpets in rooms.
Cleaning by washing and drying of all areas in the bathroom.
Replacing all guest supplies in the room and the bathroom.
Washing paintwork and doors when necessary as requested by the Floor Supervisor.
Reporting any blankets, duvets, duvet covers, or mattress pads in need of change.
Rendering personal assistance to guests by taking out food trays and newspapers.
Collecting worksheet/HotSOS device each morning with key and returning each at the end of the shift.
Reporting all rooms which do not require service or which have DND signs on the door in his or her assigned area.
Reporting any room that is in need of extra cleaning as outlined in the extra cleaning procedures.
Responsible for master keys in his/her possession.
Reporting any malfunction in equipment.
Reporting suspicious persons to the Security or Telephone Operator.
Securing guest room doors.
Reporting immediately and turning over to the Security office all lost and found articles with room number and whom it was found by as required by the Lost & Found procedures.
Reporting to the Floor Supervisor and/or using HotSOS for anything requiring attention of the Maintenance department.
Reporting anything to the Floor Supervisor that may be a health or safety hazard.
Acknowledging a guest immediately and offering a friendly greeting in accordance with the service culture program.
Maintaining all hotel equipment with care and keeping them clean and in good working condition.
Performing any other tasks assigned by Management.
