Robot Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Robot Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for tasks and duties associated with programming of robots used on the line in the application of automotive paint production. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive paint application, along with Fanuc Robot operation. Strong attention detail is required for identification of defects and potential quality related issues, all within a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and efficient programming of robots as required
• Rapid identification of issues, quick troubleshooting and reporting
• Detect any malfunctions and hazards and report promptly
• Work as part of a team to evaluate paint requirements, mixing applications, racking, film builds, and/or thickness coverage areas
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for quality and safety
• Assist maintenance with tasks/duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean working environment.

Skills

• Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience as a Robotics Technician (within the last 5 years)
• Previous experience working with automotive paint application or spray booths an asset
• Experience with PLC and HMI operation, and Fanuc Robot operation preferred and an asset
• Strong attention to detail is required for identification of defects & potential quality related issues
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing .
• Physical skill-set: exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade and ability to lift 50lbs when required

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
