Position to begin for the 2025-2026 School Year
An opportunity exists for a dynamic, enthusiastic leader in the role of Vice-Principal at River Heights School. This position will allow an individual to develop his/her leadership style to help create an inspirational and creative work climate. River Heights has a focus on Student-Centered Integrated Learning, and the successful candidate should have a commitment to learning and understanding this constructivist approach to learning. An understanding of the Collaborative Response Model is also required. Thorough understanding of assessment and cooperative learning are important. The successful applicant will be a strong team player that can effectively collaborate.
River Heights School is an elementary school in Medicine Hat, serving about 300 students in Kindergarten through Grade 6. The school's motto is “Explore, Create, Reflect.” At River Heights, children are encouraged to make connections, build mental bridges between subject areas, and use assessment strategies to deepen their understanding. The successful applicant must also be willing to collaborate and serve as a Professional Learning Community team member.
Employees who wish to be considered for this position should review the requirements. A Masters Degree or current enrollment in a Masters Program is desirable. The successful applicant will need to pursue this qualification if they haven't yet started.
