Job Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Provides management direction, and includes administrative and supervisory responsibilities, involving all risk management activities on several small to medium sized projects and/or programs, or functional areas to ensure that products or services provided are in accordance with customer and Parsons Quality/Risk requirements. This position provides leadership to risk professionals and the development and implementation of risk procedures, and related activities. Regularly interacts with senior-level representatives from a variety of functional groups, including program management, design/engineering, purchasing, construction, and other personnel.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Champions QIC's "Safety First" value, specifically confident in enacting ‘Stop Work’ authority, engage in relevant health/safety/well being standards and behaviors.
2. Demonstrates leadership behaviors, in line with the Qiddiya Values, at all times. Manages, coaches and mentors junior staff to successfully contribute to the department deliverables.
3. Supports implementation of risk management framework, procedures, templates and processes, and seeks continuous improvement.
4. Creates and maintains Risk Register and Risk Dashboard and other reports as may be specified, or ad hoc reports as required for assigned area of responsibility.
5. Ensures that the appropriate risk data is captured and that risk assessments are carried out on all aspects covering area of responsibility.
6. Ensures that risk treatment strategies are identified, monitored, and followed, with response activities aligned, action owners appointed, and progress regularly monitored. Identifies and tracks changes to the risk profile, personnel, the work, or the work environment that may change the effectiveness of risk treatments.
7. Monitors compliance against best practice standards and codes, including auditing the risk management plans, procedures and processes.
8. Facilitates the assessment of the potential impacts of identified risks. Supports monthly risk review meetings. Initiates & facilitates risk workshops with project teams to collect and record potential risks/issues and their treatments.
9. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments during the project planning, design, and execution phases.
10. Collaborates with project teams to integrate risk controls into project plans, schedules, and budgets.
11. Ensures the high quality and standard of data is inputted, to enable effective analytics. Works with Project Managers to recognize opportunities and mitigations to minimize risk exposure.

Internal Stakeholders: Procurement & Commercial, Discipline Leads and Teams, Project Controls, Development

External Stakeholders: Consultants, Contractors

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree: Risk Management, Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related field, or Higher National Diploma: Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related field.

Institute of Risk Management - Certified Risk Manager preferred.

Project Management Institute – Risk Management Professional is preferred.

6 - 10 years of experience in within a Developer, Contractor or Consultant.

Previous KSA/Middle East experience preferred.
