  6. Provide support to corporate and regional underwriting, marketing, and claims teams by preparing reports, conducting reviews, and risk control assessments;
  7. Qualified to be an inspector for performing jurisdictional inspections of boilers and pressure vessels in Ontario;
  8. Foster and motivate a collaborative team culture across groups, units, and teams with our Risk Control colleagues and Intact Partners;
  9. Participate in continuous learning and development activities in order to improve oneself and share knowledge with colleagues and clients via assessments or training seminars;
  10. Support management efforts for service improvements;
  11. Perform other related responsibilities as directed.

What you bring to the table:

  1. Minimum five years of progressive industrial experience in engineering, inspection, power operation, operation or maintenance of boilers, pressure vessels and machinery, or EBI insurance;
  2. Degree in engineering, technical engineering, related sciences, College Diploma or trades certification;
  3. Knowledge and experience in Equipment Breakdown risk control;
  4. Knowledge of ASME Codes and TSSA regulations in boilers and pressure vessels;
  5. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment breakdown damage mechanisms;

  10. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, agility, and the ability to work under minimal supervision;
  11. Continue to inform and educate the Risk Control team and management on the latest industry trends and new technology;
  12. Prefer to have NB IS commission and TSSA Certificate of Competency for boiler and pressure vessel inspection;
  13. Experience in the review and analysis of third-party Risk Control and Engineering reports, an asset;
