Revit Specialist

Reports directly to the BIM Lead on all matters regarding the assigned design issues. The Revit Specialist shall ensure to meet all schedules in a timely manner. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
• Intermediate level position for incumbents wishing to pursue a career in any area of the Design/Engineering Department.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to read architectural, mechanical, structural, and slab edge drawings.
• Knowledgeable in Autodesk Revit, Dynamo, AutoCAD, and MS Office tools.
• Experience working with Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Construction Cloud, PLM, Rendering, Autodesk Vault, and Dynamo is an asset.
• Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge in making Shopping Drawings and Documentation.

Job Specific Duties

• Utilize Revit Families to create detailed panel/parts to support Revit models.
• Work on Complex Revit Family Development to support model creation.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of accurate drafting methods, layering, X-References, dimensioning, model space/paper, viewports, and scaling.
• Create families and manipulate parameters and schedules.
• Import different models from various trades/divisions to perform collision checks.
• Create content for new systems and modifications to existing systems within the library.
• Review drawings/models of other teams to ensure the latest information is updated with the parent model.
• Create BOM out of Revit configurator tool and adjust parameters to introduce new systems.
• Any other tasks assigned by the BIM Lead.
