Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Client Support Services, the Revenue Assurance Analyst, TSX Trust provides support to the TSX Trust business units that are responsible for submitting information to the relevant Accounts Payable and Billing teams and will act as a liaison with our Finance Partners. The role requires intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets; attention to detail, and high technical and analytical skills to navigate various billing tools and applications.
This role is Hybrid: Minimum 2 to 3 days/week at the office
Key Accountabilities:
- Analyze and identify key challenges by collaborating with the Finance team and internal revenue reporting departments.
- Create and maintain the TSX Trust and TMXIS Billing process document (RACI) - Understand and define all relevant roles and responsibilities from an end-to-end perspective across all relevant departments - Trust RM, Operations, Billings, Finance.
- Fee Schedule validation, new client reviews, and liaising between departments to ensure proper direction/instruction is provided to the Finance team.
- Oversight for all manual billing processes including but not limited to recoverable revenue billings.
- This role is responsible for coordinating with the business teams to ensure all manual billing files are submitted to the Finance team for invoice creation, and include accurate data, rates for recoverable expenses, and calculations.
- Reviewing billing requests, including, but not limited to, investigating rejected system fees.
- Liaison between the business team and the Finance team including working with key stakeholders to streamline existing processes including communication between business teams and the Finance team.
- Attend weekly/bi-weekly meetings with systems experts to identify any potential system challenges and provide suggestions for improvements.
- Work directly with finance to oversee the billing process to ensure monthly activities are complete, accurately, and submitted on time and in compliance with the billing schedule and TMX guidelines to satisfy internal and external audit requirements.
- Possess strong, in-depth, understanding and knowledge of all revenue-driven TMX business lines to ensure the invoice and statement are captured accurately to reflect the services and goods sold by TMX [TSXT/TMXIS - within reason (spot-checking)].
- Collaborating with internal clients to improve process streamlining and automation.
- Harmonize fee schedules across record-keeping systems, ensuring consistency and alignment where possible (departmental charges - analysis and understanding).
- Undertake process review and improvement.
Must Have (s):
- University Degree in Accounting and/or other Business-Related fields of study are preferred.
- 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to present business problems concisely and effectively to a diverse audience.
- Tactful and diplomatic in completing work activities by demonstrating urgency and sensitivity to users’ concerns/interests.
- Ability to multi-task with flexibility, drive, and collaboratively problem-solve, with a strong results-oriented demeanor.
- Advanced Excel skills including (pivot tables, macros), and Google Suite proficiency.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Highly motivated and articulate team player.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
