Magic Circle Workshop is a full scale production studio, with end-to-end video and photography services that stand alone and integrate seamlessly with Cossette and our broader network, Plus Company. As a Retoucher, you will report to the Retouching Director/Director of Studio Production. As part of the studio team, you will work collaboratively with creative teams & designers on a variety of projects and clients.

What You Will Do:

• Basic retouching including photo resizing, colour correction, defect removal, masking, shadows & reflections, spec’ing of high resolution images for intended final output
• Image composition, reshaping & manipulation, illustrating, and creation of imagery look and feel for campaigns
• Applies appropriate colour profiles (CMYK/RGB) to ensure files are production ready
• Archiving/retrieval of historical assets
• Liaise with Production, Creative or Account Services and collaborate particularly well with art directors on look/feel of imagery
• Keep current with software/hardware & bring knowledge forward collaborating with Retouching Director

What You’ll Bring To The Table:

• 3+ years of experience as a design/digital artist or creative retoucher in an agency environment
• Ongoing willingness to expand skill-set, explore different AI applications and how they can be employed in our workflow
• In depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Macintosh environment
• Graphic arts background or design degree/diploma preferred
• Experience with image retouching in an agency environment
• Proven ability to work with many personality types, highly collaborative within a creative environment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize high volumes of work and remain calm under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Additional skills including, but not limited to, expertise with AI, Illustration, GCI, or a familiarity with Topaz Labs considered an asset
