Liquid Amber Tattoo and Art Collective is looking for a new team member who will provide support for our management team by supervising our Tattoo Studio and Art Gallery space.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with the management team regularly to receive instructions on how to best organize the studio and gallery’s daily operations.
- Communicate management’s needs and decisions to the rest of the team in a friendly manner.
- Implement operational protocols for the business to operate efficiently.
- Prepare weekly schedules for resident tattoo artists.
- Coordinate with local artists interested in exhibiting their pieces in our gallery.
- Organize exhibition schedules, announcements online and supervise special exhibition events.
- Authorize customer’s merchandise returns at the cash register.
- Deal with customer complaints or inquiries.
- Sell merchandise to customers.
- Provide customers information about tattoo inquiries.
- Review merchandise inventory and prepare purchase orders.
- Review inventory regarding tattoo supplies such as ink, needles, cartridges, cleaning and sanitizing, gloves, etc.
- Prepare purchase orders.
- Hire and train new team members.
- Conduct team meetings and workshops to train other resident artists on advanced and unique tattoo techniques.
- May perform tattoo artist duties such as meeting clients, preparing designs, cleaning, and sterilizing equipment, preparing body parts prior to service, and tattooing body parts.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the job must have in-depth knowledge of tattoo art and industry which includes:
- 3-5 years of experience as a tattoo studio supervisor, manager, or owner.
- Several years of experience as a tattoo artist.
- Participation in industry events such as Tattoo artist conventions is an asset.
