Tasks:

1. Assign sales workers to duties
2. Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
3. Teach interest or professional development courses
4. Authorize payments by cheque
5. Exhibit designers plan and develop permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces and other exhibitions
6. Order merchandise
7. Authorize return of merchandise
8. Establish work schedules
9. Sell merchandise
10. Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
11. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
12. Organize and maintain inventory
13. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
