Retail POS Tester - Onsite

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• 3+ years experience in automation as a requirement and strong experience with object oriented programming languages such as Java or Python.
• Create and execute automated tests for web, mobile, and Point of Sale software.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and report them to the development team.
• Develop and maintain test data and test environments.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and testing methodologies.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the test automation codebase.

Must be located in Calgary or need to relocate.

Required education

Associate's Degree/College Diploma.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and life cycle.
• Experience with test case management tools.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
