About this Position
This role is responsible for leading, managing, coordinating and implementing the customer scope of work within a designated area, to provide exceptional Janitorial Services.
You will also be responsible for increasing revenue from existing customers and managing a mobile workforce.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation plans for customer (i.e. waxing schedules, budgets, potential add on sales opportunities)
- Build strong relationships with customers and sub contractors
- Responsible for training subcontractors and employees on required legislated training (WHMIS, Health & Safety, etc.) and United cleaning specific training
- Lead all process initiatives and work with senior management to identify trends and process gaps.
- Analyze and control store budgets, monitor expenses for operations and develop strategies to decrease costs and increase profitability at store level
- Implement transitions of new business in customer locations in compliance with transition process
- Support in Hiring/Recruitment/Training/Performance Management/Termination of subcontractors
- Work in compliance with Health & Safety policies and legislation
Job Requirements
- Available to address customer and subcontractor needs and concerns in a timely manner
- Ability to work flexible shifts on a rotation basis including evenings and nights
- Willing to travel frequently within the designated territory
- Ability to work in a fast-paced & high stress environment and solve problems effectively
- Valid driver’s licence and good driving record

- Business acumen, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Active listening skills, time management, leadership skills, autonomy, competent with technology
- Managing budgeting & costing within janitorial operational environments
- Knowledge of floor-care and cleaning procedures is an asset
- Ability to motivate a mobile team of sub-contractors
Education/Experience
- Degree in business administration or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Janitorial industry or any other dynamic operational environment
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role
