Job Title: Assistant Manager
Location: Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

Aramark is hiring an Assistant Manager for our Retail operations at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. The food outlets include brands such as Second Cup, Tim Hortons, Pizza Pizza, and other proprietary Aramark brands.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day retail outlets to ensure adequate service levels to maintain quality and standards
  • Orders all food, paper and cleaning supplies, small wares and equipment; ensures all equipment in proper and safe working order
  • Accountable for production of all brand standards, menus, programs and audits
  • Works with internal and external resources to develop and generate continuous improvement, revenue, and customer satisfaction
  • Manages budgets, prepares reports, and other performance analysis documentation
  • Handles and resolves any customer concerns or complaints
  • Hires, trains and develops new and existing unionized team members encouraging them to meet targets
  • Manage and coach unionized staff in compliance with collective agreements

Qualifications

  • Supervisory or management experience in a Tim Hortons or retail food outlet is required
  • Experience hiring, scheduling, training and working in a unionized environment is preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to coach and motivate unionized team members
  • Scheduling, ordering, inventory and knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintaining brand standards and experience with franchise or corporate audits is an asset
  • Attention to detail, organization, and effective communication skills
  • Excellence in customer service and the ability to resolve concerns or complaints
