We’re looking for two seasonal Restaurant Managers for our beautiful restaurants in the historic Distillery District!
The Distillery Restaurant Corp., creators of Cluny Bistro, El Catrin, Pure Spirits Oyster House & Grill, Archeo Trattoria, Madrina Bar y Tapas, District Pizza and Distillery Events (the Fermenting Cellar and The Distillery District- Loft) are looking for experienced candidates with outstanding food & beverage knowledge, solid business acumen, and a drive to deliver results and bring people together. Our venues are located in the Distillery Historic District, one of Toronto's most exciting art and shopping destinations and home to some of the top-ranked restaurants of Toronto.
PLEASE NOTE: You MUST already have legal permission to work in Canada to be considered for these roles. These roles are available from now until February 2026.

What you'll be doing:
- Support overall operations of the restaurant with clarity, consistency, fairness and integrity.
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the restaurant service.
- Assist with staffing operations including recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, coaching and developing, managing attendance and performance and issuing corrective actions, and recognizing, listening to, and collaborating with staff.
- Support the financial operations including budgeting, managing labour, COGS and other costs and analyzing other financial metrics, assisting with inventory management, payroll, and identifying new revenue opportunities.
- Order and negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and beverage deliveries and other supplies.
- Share restaurant communications, including performing daily staff briefings, implementing policies and procedures, and collaborating on marketing/advertising strategies.
- Manage guest relations, including greeting and communicating with guests, addressing and resolving guest concerns/complaints, monitoring guest survey programs, and ensuring all staff members provide exceptional and efficient customer service.
- Ensure staff consistently work in a safe manner and adhere to all health and safety regulations, industry standards and company policies/procedures.
- Liaise as required with Culinary, Guest Services, Marketing, Talent & Culture, Payroll, and Executive Leadership.
- Lead by example and reinforce the DRC’s core values and policies on a daily basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to the restaurant:
- EXPERIENCE. We're looking for a candidate with years of experience within the food & beverage industry, preferably a fast-paced restaurant environment. You must have restaurant experience in a Server and/or Bartender role – supervisory experience is a definite asset.
- PASSION. You're an upbeat influencer who aims to lead your team toward new heights and greater successes.
- EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION. While you're required to be Smart Serve certified, any other certifications related to mixology, beer, wine and spirits are highly valued. Having studied F&B Management and/or Hospitality is an asset.
- ADAPTABILITY. You can work in fast-paced, changing environments with ease.
- SOLUTION-ORIENTED. You're a strong problem solver with an insatiable desire to positively impact the experience of our guests, employees and restaurant reviews.
