Restaurant Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing profits and minimizing costs at the Keg Steakhouse + Bar on Victoria Ave in Niagara Falls. The Restaurant Manager will fulfill this objective through efficient scheduling, ordering, maintaining inventories, floor control and enforcement of Keg rules and standards.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations of the restaurant and bar
2. Implement operational procedures
3. Conduct interviews and hire new employees
4. Control labour and beverage costs
5. Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, reconciliation and related forms
6. Respond to customer complaints
7. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
8. Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
9. Set staff work schedules
10. Monitor staff performance
11. Train staff to Keg standards
12. Conduct performance reviews

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 1-2 year previous restaurant management experience
2. Hotel & Restaurant Management certification from a college, university or other educational institution is an asset
3. Excellent guest relations and superior interpersonal skills
4. Flexibility with scheduling including evenings, weekends and holidays
5. Must be enthusiastic, highly-motivated individual with excellent communication skills
6. Thorough knowledge of the hotel’s services and Niagara’s attractions
7. Working knowledge of Keg standards and procedures an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour

Experience:

1. Restaurant management: 1 year (preferred)
