Restaurant General Manager - Prince Albert

Reporting to the District Manager, the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) is responsible for managing the daily operations of a single restaurant (15-25 employees) while ensuring the delivery of quality food and guest satisfaction. The RGM is accountable for maximizing sales and profitability while maintaining brand standards, implementing all corporate policies and procedures, ensuring training and development of management and crew, and achieving desired restaurant outcomes as directed by the business or as assigned by management.

The Restaurant General Manager has the responsibility to manage the daily operations of a single restaurant ensuring delivery of guest satisfaction and desired restaurant outcomes (i.e., increased sales, profitability, and employee retention).

  1. Directs efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products to maximize customer satisfaction.
  2. Motivates and directs team members to provide an exceptional customer experience.
  3. Maintain a restaurant that is noticeably cleaner than others.
  4. Provide coaching and feedback to the restaurant team.
  5. Ensures preventive maintenance of restaurant facility and equipment is completed by company standards.
  6. Assumes full responsibility for restaurant profit and loss management by implementing marketing strategies and follows cash control/security procedures.
  7. Maintains inventory, manages labor, and analyzes financial reports to enhance restaurant results.
  8. Enforces compliance with government regulations, our company policies, employment laws, food safety, security, and operations.
  9. Leads restaurant management team in recruiting, selecting, hiring, and retaining effective team talent.
  10. Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  11. Prompt and regular attendance for shifts, meetings, and training.
  12. Demonstrates strong math and Windows-based computer literacy.
  13. Demonstrates leadership and development skills.
  14. Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills.
  15. Prioritizes and organizes own and others’ work and time to meet deadlines and objectives.
  16. Identifies and solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
  17. Applies knowledge and skills to a range of activities including complex tasks; may act as a technical resource to others in own area.

Persuades and motivates restaurant employees:

  1. Interprets customer needs and assesses requirements.
  2. Able to identify solutions to non-routine requests.
  3. Sets day-to-day direction for employees to support business objectives.
  4. Manages the restaurant budget and sets guidelines for operating within that budget.
  5. Contributes to achievement of team goals; promotes teamwork.
