Position Purpose

A Response Operator screens and assigns incoming phone calls and provides administrative support to the public, RCMP and Police Services support staff.

Duties

  1. Processes and responds to all incoming calls and enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Provide general information to the public regarding police policies and regulations.
  3. Creates, maintains and distributes resource material.
  4. Provides training to new team members.
  5. Regularly monitor, transfer and respond to Police Services email proxies.
  6. Creates, updates and maintains documents and information into databases.
  7. Performs general clerical administrative duties.
  8. Assists with scanning information and entering updates on various RCMP/Police Specific databases and programs.
  9. Provide administrative support to assist various departments as/when required.

Additional Hiring Information

Pay Rate: Starts at $28.37 per hour

Days of Work: 6 days on 3 days off

Standard Hours per Day: 7

Hours of Work: 8:00am-4:00pm x 3, 4:00pm-12:00am x3, followed by 3 days off
