Job Description

Crossroads, the leader in responsive addiction and behavioral health treatment, is seeking an experienced leader to join our Children and Mothers Program in Windham, Maine. This primary residential substance use rehabilitation program is the only program of this model in the State of Maine, accepting mothers at all stages of treatment and enabling moms to enter treatment with their children when needed. The future leader at the helm of this program will possess a strong degree of integrity and commitment to excellence as they will be the culture champion uniting our dynamic team.

The successful candidate has the ability to take initiative, problem-solve effectively, and think critically while leading their team in alignment with our organization's transparent and accountable culture.

Core Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the therapeutic milieu in accordance with established schedules and guidelines
  • Providing a strong conduit among all levels of the organization supporting fiscal, administrative, and clinical needs
  • Providing leadership and oversight of the program and staff
  • Facilitating and supporting communications with external referral sources for clients admitting into residential programs to build collaboration and trust for continuity of care
  • Facilitating treatment team meetings providing input regarding assessment, service planning, and recommendations for aftercare
  • Ensuring the program operates in a manner consistent with agency policies and procedures, state regulatory and contractual requirements, grant parameters, and data collection/reporting requirements
  • Reviewing and analyzing program data and developing process improvement and quality assurance initiatives
  • Managing and adhering to fiscal budgetary parameters
  • Participating in agency, program, and external meetings and functions
  • Representing and communicating Crossroads philosophy and mission both internally and externally
  • Leading residential program team meetings and providing support, feedback, leadership, and direction to the program staff
  • Working with the Director of Compliance to ensure compliance with licensing standards
  • Overseeing the physical facility and vehicles
  • Providing crisis management assistance
  • Accomplishing goals and milestones as determined by the organization's strategic plan
  • Developing and maintaining positive internal and external relationships
  • Supporting and modeling the values and commitments of the organization
  • Performing additional responsibilities as assigned and relevant to the support of the organization

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in a progressive leadership, supervisory role
  • Relevant and specific experience within the field and/or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Expertise working with co-occurring disorders
  • Ability to navigate MS Office; Electronic Health Records
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, and follow-through skills
  • High degree of accountability and integrity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong forecasting and problem-solving ability

Sign on Bonus: All newly hired employees will be eligible for a $4,000 sign-on bonus after completing a period of employment. Further details and conditions for eligibility will be made available during the interview process.


Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 4:30PM, rotational on-call requirement
