QUALIFICATIONS

The following qualifications and competencies are required to successfully provide the leadership necessary to fulfill the Mission, Vision, and Values of Providence Health Care:

  • Masters degree in a related Health Profession
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience at the middle management level in a medium to large health care organization
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Your Day to Day:

  • Lead interdisciplinary teams, including CNL(s) and/or Unit Supervisors, to ensure patient-centered, coordinated care delivery.
  • Collaborate with Physician Operations Leader to manage efficient care within assigned sub-units, aligning with program objectives and PHC’s mission and values.
  • Lead process improvements with the team, utilizing quality improvement, utilization, and risk management tools, and analyzing data to track progress.
  • Work with internal and external partners to ensure timely care and address risks, incidents, complaints, and discharge planning.
  • Ensure clear, two-way communication within the team to keep everyone informed of changes affecting care delivery.
  • Serve as the interface between sub-units and corporate/support systems, identifying needs and helping to find solutions.
  • Collaborate with physician partner on budgeting, monitoring productivity, and analyzing budget variances.
  • Develop recruitment and retention strategies in partnership with HR, supporting clinical goals.
  • Facilitate orientation programs for new staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary clinical knowledge and hospital procedures.
  • Implement and evaluate staffing patterns and schedules to meet patient care needs.
  • Participate in leadership duties, including collective bargaining, grievance proceedings, and service delivery changes.
  • Foster an environment that encourages interdisciplinary learning, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Professional Practice Leaders and Advanced Practice Nurses.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
