Position Summary:Covenant Care welcomes all who share a calling to serve those most in need. The position of Resident Care Manager will commit to incorporate our Mission, Vision, and our Values, which are Compassion, Collaboration, Respect, Social Justice, Integrity, and Stewardship, and uphold our ethical traditions as foundational aspects in all actions and decision-making. The Resident Care Manager, reporting to the Site Director, is accountable for the overall management and direction of continuing care services. The Resident Care Manager collaborates with other members of the management and interdisciplinary team in order to plan, implement, and evaluate resident care.
In accordance with Covenant Care’s Mission, Vision, and Values, this position is responsible for ensuring that residents receive quality care and service according to Covenant Care policies and procedures. Provides support to residents, their family, and visitors during the resident’s end-of-life journey that will enable choice, dignity, privacy, respect, and individuality.

- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills

- Commitment to safe, effective, and ethical resident care and work practices
- Ability to respond appropriately within a stressful environment
- Proven reliability and accountability
- Participates in the On-Call Rotation as applicable
- Have an understanding and working knowledge of Service Contracts, Continuing Care Health Service Standards, and Accreditation Standards
- Thorough working knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Office
Supervision:- Direct supervision of care staff
- Accommodation Audits
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Registered with CARNA (College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta)
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred
- Two to Five (2-5) years of middle or senior management experience in a unionized health care environment, preferably in continuing care services, is required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Must be versed in CCHSS and Accommodation Audits
