General Information:
Job title: Resident Care Assistant
Location: Crest View CBRF - New Lisbon, WI
Schedules Available:
- Part-time 1, 52.5 hrs/pp, Day/PM shift rotation
- Full-time, 75 hours per pay period, Day/PM shift rotation
Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
Holiday rotation: Every other holiday
Position Summary:
The Resident Care Assistant provides a safe home-like environment to promote overall health and socialization to advanced age and early dementia residents.
Position Responsibilities:
- Completes daily work and resident care assignments and reviews care plans on residents and follows them.
- Introduces self to residents and performs daily care routines, which may include bathing, dressing, assisting in toileting, and transferring residents to and from wheelchairs while following safe lifting practices.
- Performs housekeeping, linen, dietary, and activity duties as directed.
- Based on physician's orders, may change dressings or ensure that residents take required medications at designated times.
- Prepares and serves meals.
- Takes and replaces inventory of food and housekeeping supplies.
- Follows precautionary health steps (mask, gloves, aprons) in dealing with residents with infectious diseases.
- Administers medications as specified by policies and procedures.
- Checks blood sugars as ordered.
- Responsible for vitals and weights.
- Assists residents in meeting fluid and nutritional needs.
- Follows resident care plans.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
- Successful completion of CBRF courses required.
- Previous CBRF or C.N.A. experience required.
- 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.
- Comprehensive nursing assistant skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate care.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain continuous oral and written communication with co-workers, patients, and supervisors is essential.
