Reporting to the Manager, Housing Services and their respective Live-In Residence Life Coordinator, Resident Assistants (RAs) are responsible for ensuring the comfort and success of students and guests in housing. Resident Assistants assist in creating a healthy, safe, supportive and inclusive environment. RAs plan and deliver educational and social programming, assist students with the transition to independent living and post-secondary environments, encourage participation in campus life and activities, and help ensure that housing community standards are understood and followed. RAs are on-call evenings, weekends and holidays, as well as participate in kiosk hours in which they provide customer service to our students and guests. Resident Assistants are expected to remain living on campus until the final date on their Housing Contract to assist with Move-Out procedures. RAs will be placed in Housing based on the needs of the Residence Life team to ensure a suitable number of staff are allocated to each community.
