Salary: $20.69 - $26.09 per hour ($37,649- $47,486 per annum, 35 hours per week)

Job Summary: Housing and Campus Connections operates and coordinates a wide range of vital campus services. Reporting to the Manager, Front Desk Operations, the Residence Front Desk Supervisor ensures consistent processes and standards for the front desk during the academic year and summer accommodations season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the academic year check-in and check-out process for the LeMarchant Place residence.
  • Maintains the key inventory system, completes weekly cash deposits, supervises laundry coin collection, and receives and sorts mail and parcel deliveries.
  • Assists with transitioning front desk operations and staff between Conference and Event Planning and Academic front desk operations.
  • Responsible for efficient and accurate customer service for guests under Conference Services summer accommodations.
  • Acts as a front line resource, answering inquiries from residents, guests, and parents.
  • Supervise, train and support student staff, ensuring adherence to procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Business or Office Administration program, plus three years’ related work experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization and time management skills.
  • Experience with handling cash and knowledge of effective cash controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience working in a busy environment.

Assets:

  • Experience working in a conference and events or residence operation.
  • Experience with KX or a similar system.

Job Competencies: The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate proficiency in Dalhousie’s core competencies.
