The role of Research Technician Technology Development is to efficiently operate and maintain test equipment at the lab, bench, and pilot scale. This includes performing maintenance and upkeep of day-to-day operations of the R&D facilities. They ensure that equipment is functioning properly, troubleshoot issues, and conduct regular maintenance tasks.
Additionally, they contribute to general housekeeping activities such as keeping the workspace clean and organized. Maintaining facility organization is vital to ensure smooth operations and enhance productivity.
This role is full-time and onsite and is based in Squamish, BC.
Demonstrate a positive safety culture. Identify, report, and resolve unsafe conditions, processes, or actions within the workplace. Ensure that all safety-related incidents, accidents, and near misses are reported and investigated in line with company policy.
Education: Relevant technical certification from a postsecondary institute.
Experience: 2+ years experience in an industrial or laboratory setting. Knowledge of safe industrial work practices. Mechanical experience with basic hand and power tools. Forklift and aerial lift experience and training desirable. LOTO experience desirable.
Carbon Engineering offers a competitive compensation package including extended health benefits. This position is eligible for our standard 40 hours/week work schedule, or our 9/80 work schedule which provides every second Friday off.
