The Department of Agriculture is looking to fill the Research and Innovation Specialist – Crops (G4) position in Carman, MB; however, this position may be located in any of our Manitoba Agriculture offices, subject to operational requirements and approval.

Duties:
Reporting to the Manager of Research and Innovation, the specialist leads the department’s research program in grain innovation and crop production including genetic improvements. Responsibilities are centered on the development, delivery, and administration of funding programs that advance government priorities in the agriculture sector through grain innovation, crop production, and genetic improvement areas. Work is focused on the interface of industry-government-academia where the specialist brokers, develops, administers, and reports on research projects and transfers knowledge to government and industry on research and development policies, strategies, and programs.
