We're searching for a talented Reporter to join our roster of accomplished contributors with The Broker's Standard, a novel real estate news publisher covering all things Canadian real estate.

As an early member of our editorial team, you will play an integral role in shaping our editorial standards and establishing our reputation as a credible, quality source of news for Canada's real estate sector. We are looking for a candidate with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and self-starter attitude to help us get this rocketship off the ground.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will bring 1-3 years of experience in journalism (we are happy to consider volunteer journalism roles and extra-curricular work as part of the candidate's experience).
• A fulsome understanding of Canadian journalistic standards and the journalistic process, ideally stemming from a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from an accredited Canadian university.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Fine-tuned attention to detail.
• An understanding of the Canadian real estate sector, including relevant stakeholders, practices, and important events.
• Bilingualism is an asset.

Compensation will be discussed with the candidate and will be evaluated in accordance with the candidate's level of experience. Additionally, contracts will be awarded based on weekly contribution commitments, as well as an hourly-rate for important issues arising.
