Job Summary

As a part of our continued expansion, we are looking for a Renewable Natural Gas Trader / Origination Manager to become a key player in our Montreal or Calgary team. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of renewable energy by identifying and developing new business ventures that drive the demand and supply of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). Responsibilities
  • The RNG Trader / Origination Manager will be responsible for developing new business and growth opportunities for RNG supply and demand, including new and existing RNG production and transportation fuel dispensing (CNG/LNG)
  • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing strategies that successfully achieve business objectives for RNG supply
  • Responsible for leading deals, including external relationship management, commercial negotiations, and contract negotiations
  • Fulfill customer needs by demonstrating thorough understanding of customers, pricing, and competition
  • Conduct market research and analyze results to adjust sales and marketing strategy to meet optimization goals
  • Utilize expertise in environmental markets to identify and develop prospective client relationships
  • Maintain healthy sales pipeline through ongoing business development activities
  • Conduct market and client-specific discovery and value proposition development
  • Provide strategic account management and maintain effective client relationships
  • Anticipate changes in client needs and provides strategic solutions
  • Evaluate and present opportunities for product and services development
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in RNG, natural gas origination, or renewable diesel sales.
  • Proven experience in gas scheduling, pipeline logistics, or energy operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in trading RNG, NG, or renewable energy products, with a track record of building client relationships and negotiating deals.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, highly organized, with strong communication abilities.
  • Results-driven mentality with a focus on speed and action, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory environmental policies (EPA RFS, LCFS, carbon markets) and experience navigating North American energy markets is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and risk management skills in energy markets, with a demonstrated ability to optimize trading portfolios.
  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US, and other countries across the globe where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.
