Job Description
The Remote Account Manager (RAM) is responsible for communicating with veterinary customers to initiate and sustain sales relationships and promote, position, and sell the companion animal line of products and services to meet and exceed customers’ needs. The RAM is also responsible for achieving the annual sales and business objectives within the established business plan for the territory and respective region. To optimize the impact of our interactions, the RAM must also develop an effective relationship with all Western account managers and work closely on shared accounts.
The RAM is responsible for understanding customer needs and communicating accurate and complete product information and support through targeted communications and coordination of call activities with the regional team towards the goal of increasing sales and market penetration. Strategic and innovative methods of communication and relationship building are encouraged to further strengthen clinic partnerships. An additional responsibility of the RAM is to engage with Key Account contacts during various marketing initiatives. This includes capturing unique branded emails per territory that are adapted to the OCS model and delivering/following up in a timely manner to participating accounts. Defining the next-best-event within these initiatives involves strategic partnership between the RAM and field Account Manager. The activities of the RAM also include conducting webinars, attending product and sales training, and participating in conferences and conventions.
The RAM optimizes business potential in the territory through effective collaboration, analysis, planning, implementation, and organization of work. Other duties include managing territory data through CRM and all other relevant territory management tools. There are additional administrative duties which include but are not limited to: recording daily calls with accounts, expense management, and shipment requests from clients. Performance is measured on success within territory and region based on plan, as well as targeted promotions and other performance standards consistent with operating objectives.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, Science degree is preferred; Veterinary Technician Diploma is acceptable
Pharmaceutical sales or experience in the Animal Health Industry
Experience in Small Animal Veterinary Practice as Animal Health technician or Veterinarian
Thorough understanding of the Animal Health Industry and Veterinary Practice operation is an asset
Proficiency in office technology and related software
Strong oral communication skills
Comfortable with new technologies
Negotiation skills
Language spoken and written: English
