Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Relief Chef to join our kitchen team for a temporary position from the end of June to mid-August. The Relief Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards, and supporting the overall operations of the kitchen during the busy summer season.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with the menu and dietary requirements.
2. Ensure that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
3. Support daily kitchen operations, ensuring a smooth workflow during service hours.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following health and safety regulations.
5. Work closely with the head chef and kitchen team to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
6. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
7. Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and prepared foods.
8. Engage with guests when appropriate, addressing any dietary needs or special requests.
9. Contribute to a positive dining experience through attentive service and high-quality food.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a chef in a similar role, preferably in a lodge, restaurant, or catering environment.
2. Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
