YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Planning & Reliability Supervisor you will be part of the Mobile Maintenance Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Oversee condition monitoring activities related to all Mine Maintenance equipment;
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability, uptime, and maintenance effectiveness;
  • Review equipment performance and elaborate action plans with suppliers to achieve production goals;
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on reliability performance, highlighting areas for improvement and recommendations for action;
  • Conduct an analysis of reliability problems and investigates to determine the required reliability approach for failures;
  • Recommend purchase of mechanical equipment/parts, tools and the modification of mechanical equipment and procedures, as appropriate, consistent with our commitment to continuous improvement;
  • Provide analysis and interpretation of maintenance trends and variances;
  • Analyze / interpret oil analysis results and take the required actions;
  • Development and implementation of a reliability program which maximizes profit / production by minimizing equipment downtime;
  • Implement preventative, predictive maintenance procedures and improve designs and/or installation criteria to minimize overall cost by reducing failures and maintenance manpower requirements;
  • Explore and implement new technologies and identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and reliability of equipment;
  • Investigate and analyze equipment breakdown history/trends to resolve best maintenance practice deficiencies and improve quality of repair through RCA or FMECA;
  • Inspect, review, evaluate, and monitor mobile equipment, operating conditions, operating procedures and maintenance work practices for recommended improvements;
  • Act as a technical resource to the Mine Maintenance group for troubleshooting equipment problems;
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including maintenance manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical reports;
  • Work closely with planners to coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation;
  • Support planners on Planed Component Replacement (PCR) and budget process;
  • Work with OEM and other sites to establish benchmark on major components;
  • Oversee the work of contractors involved on mobile maintenance and repair projects;
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with environmental regulations and standards;
  • Develop detailed project plans and procedures for the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of mobile equipment;
  • Ensure that engineering work is completed and adequately reviewed by the relevant stakeholders in line with the project budget and schedule;
  • Lead and coach junior reliability engineers;
  • Assist in the completion of risk assessments for mine maintenance activities and support the development of safe procedures.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Qualification as a certified maintenance and reliability professional and/or trades certification would be a major asset;
  • Strong experience in diesel and heavy-duty mining equipment;
  • Strong field experience in open pit mine environment;
  • Knowledge on reliability tools as RCA, FMEA, RCM, etc.;
  • Knowledge on lubrication best practices;
  • Knowledge on hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems;
  • Experience in preventative maintenance (PM) development and asset management would be a major asset;
  • Familiarity with condition monitoring in a mining environment would be a major asset;
  • Experience with maintenance and reliability of heavy mobile equipment (4100 XPC, 7495, 6060, 6030, 24M, 16M, D11, D10, PV271, D65, DM45, 795F, 798AC, 777F);
  • Able to work outside in the summer and the winter;
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP and/or JDE;
  • Familiarity with reliability programs in mining and mobile equipment.

  • Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
