Regular Full-Time Evo Car Share Fleet Technician

As a Fleet Technician on the Evo Car Share team, you’ll ensure our Evo vehicles are safe, ready, and available for British Columbians. You’ll provide exceptional technical support for a fleet of vehicles distributed throughout Vancouver.

Who you are

  1. You love automobiles and have a passion for the future of the car sharing economy.
  2. You’re handy and comfortable using simple electronics and power tools.
  3. You easily build relationships with partners and team members.
  4. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
  5. You love to learn new skills and knowledge.
  6. You take the initiative to organize your time and manage competing priorities while working independently.

What you bring

  1. Level 1 or 2 automotive or electrical apprenticeship.
  2. At least 2 years of work experience in the automotive or rental industry.
  3. Proven experience in technical setup, documentation, and quality assurance.
  4. A clean drivers abstract, annual renewal required.
  5. Familiar with Vancouver geography.

Bonus skills and experience!

  1. Experience in a startup environment.
  2. Communication or telematics experience.

Once here, you’ll:

  1. Quickly address and troubleshoot vehicle issues (such as damage, accident, telematics troubles).
  2. Test, diagnose, service, and repair in-vehicle telematics equipment.
  3. Perform minor repairs such as battery boosting, buffing or minor touch-ups.
  4. Complete light maintenance functions such as swapping control boxes and changing tires.
  5. Drive vehicles to various locations for cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.
  6. Distribute and collect damaged vehicles to/from external repair partners.
  7. Conduct random spot checks to assess work quality of external maintenance partners.
  8. Work with approved partners i.e., cleaning, auto body, and dealerships.

The salary range for this position is $54,957.00 to $68,696.16 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand, and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.
