Register Practical Nurse (RPN) - Belleville

In Home Assisted Living Inc. of Belleville is looking for compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our family. As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), you will support our clients by providing personal care. The work setting is within a private home in Belleville. As an employee, you will make a difference in the lives of our clients and their families through compassionate client-focused care. Part-time, 2 days per week to start.

How you will spend your days:

1. Provide personal care and nursing care for a patient in their home.
2. Assist patient and her family with complex medical care issues.
3. Support independence, dignity, social, and emotional health.
4. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and their families.
5. Provide companionship and living assistance.
6. Assist with mobility using a Hoyer lift and wheelchair.
7. Provide personal care, bathing, and hygiene assistance.
8. Monitor and administer medications.

Success in this role:

1. RPN Certification recognized by the CNO.
2. Experience with mobility transfers.
3. Strong reading and verbal skills.
4. Knowledge of clinical infection control protocols.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Assistance with personal care, hygiene, and grooming (ADLs).
2. Light housekeeping (IADLs: vacuuming, laundry, dishes, etc.).
3. Basic meal preparation.
4. Medication reminders.
5. Assisting clients with mobility, ambulation, and transfers.
6. Providing companionship and emotional support.
7. Responding to emergency situations.
8. Completing daily shift reports to communicate with Case Managers.

Qualifications:

1. Personal Support Worker Certificate, Health Care Aide, DSW, Foreign Trained Nurses, Nursing Leadership, or Caregiver with Life Experience.
2. Current CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
3. Documentation skills.
4. Ability to follow client care plan.
5. Strong communication skills.
6. Strong problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent customer service skills.

Compensation: $32.00 per hour.

Shifts: Part-time, 2-3 days per week.
