Make an impact with our South Central Ontario Marketing team as a Regional Marketing Assistant. As a trusted advisor, you’ll support the development and execution of marketing campaigns that promote MNP’s brand and support business development efforts through collaboration and value-added insights.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assistance, tactical execution, tracking and day-to-day administration of the South Central Ontario regions’ marketing and business development strategy and initiatives.
- Support the region in all areas of marketing, including events, sponsorships, advertising, direct marketing, publicity, digital marketing, website, and social media.
- Administrative – managing the marketing calendar, scheduling meetings with agendas, keeping minutes, room bookings, mailing and courier items, formatting marketing documents.
- Marketing Requests – updating marketing documents, submitting practitioner bios, event invites and general firm ads, printing corporate material, and coordinating photoshoots for practitioner headshots.
- Event Management – sourcing vendor quotes, liaising with vendors, registration deployment and tracking, consolidating attendee lists, day of support and logistics support both virtually and in person.
- Budgeting – updating financial tracking documents, providing the team with regular updates, consolidating monthly spends, submitting, organizing and tracking invoices.
- Internal Communications – compiling, editing and distributing marketing updates and success stories.
- Resource and Asset Management – maintaining, refreshing and tracking stock of collateral and promo items, updating client and contact lists, maintaining a library of general firm ads and tracking of tradeshow materials.
- Vendors – seeking new vendors, maintaining preferred vendor list, scheduling of virtual demonstrations or site visits and relationship building with vendors.
- Produce and format documents such as presentations, correspondence and standard reports.
- Perform administrative duties specific to the marketing department such as updating and maintaining databases, client lists and preparing materials for distribution to clients.
- Support the marketing team with the implementation of the various Marketing Plan tactics (event development presentations, signage, brochures, etc.).
- Help with the coordination of event marketing and marketing campaigns.
- Assist with the coordination of client prospect programs in conjunction with other internal resources, and other internal marketing related initiatives.
- Conduct other projects and ad-hoc activities/events.
- Gather and compile market research for planning purposes.
- Maintain marketing materials, promotional items, brochures and tradeshow equipment.
- Provide incremental administrative support to the regional management team as needed.
Skills and Experience
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, project management, English, journalism, or related discipline.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a marketing capacity and a demonstrated understanding of the marketing process and project coordination.
- Strong administrative skills are essential, including organizational skills, attention to detail and prioritization.
- Strong computer literacy, including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivating with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required as this role is part of a highly collaborative team where the expectation is that everyone participates in the team’s success, regardless of seniority.
- Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary. While based in Waterloo, our South Central Ontario region includes offices in St. Catharines, Burlington, Waterloo and Cambridge, as well as on-site event support, so some travel will be required (approx. 10-20%).
