The Regional Manager, Wealth Management, Advice Centre directly supports the Director Retail & Wealth, Advice Centre in effectively leading an accredited sales force within Advice Centre, while achieving financial objectives. Success is achieved through demonstration of an integrated business/leadership process to deliver one integrated member experience. Success will be measured through the effective execution against CCS wealth strategies and business plans, achieving investment, outbound wealth, outbound banking and insurance objectives and, living the Employee Promises. Demonstrating a high level of business acumen the RM will lead by example and work with his/her team to create an environment where the team is focused on providing a high standard of service while achieving sales, growth and profitability in all business areas. As the Contact Centre operates on a six-day shift, 12 hours per day, flexibility to work shifts of varying hours is mandatory.
What You'll Get To Do:
- Work collaboratively with Director, Advice Centre, the Directors of both Retail Banking and of Wealth Management, other Regional Managers and other leaders within the Advice Centre to implement action plans that influence positive results.
- Actively and consistently coach direct reports to build the investment, outbound wealth, outbound banking and insurance operations and enhance productivity and results.
- Manage a workforce within a dynamic Advice Centre environment, ensuring achievement of operational efficiency goals, call handling times, shift coverages for hours of operation, and other key Advice Centre deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with the Director, Retail and Wealth, Advice Centre to execute the wealth management strategies and grow the overall business.
- In partnership with the Director Wealth Strategic Initiatives & Partnerships, leverage the skills and expertise of various product suppliers and/or other external vendors to ensure delivery of Simple Financial Help and the CCS branded customer/advisor experience.
- Execute against the Advice Centre and Wealth strategy and operational plan providing input and subject matter expertise where applicable.
- Create an environment which fosters exceptional sales and service culture, supports collaborative behaviors while capitalizing on individual’s expertise.
- Responsible for performance management, goal setting, career counseling, onboarding and training, development, recruiting, creating a recruiting pipeline - both internally and externally, promotions, salary recommendations, and transfers.
- Demonstrate active and engaged sales coaching to sustain sales growth, effective business practices, and professional behaviors to meet and exceed member expectations and business objectives.
- Demonstrate understanding of the competitive landscape, industry trends, products and activities in the trade area, nationally and internationally.
- Develop a collaborative partnership by ensuring that the Advice Centre Director and Manager are aware of, and involved in the operation and performance of the AC Investment team.
- In collaboration with Organizational Learning and other partners use expertise to develop and support training initiatives as necessary.
- Effectively manage controllable expenses.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory, operational and HR policies and procedures.
- Document execution of the required supervision and oversight activities, such as Investment trade reviews, review of CRM customer notes, trade loss reports etc.
- Work collaboratively with the Director, Wealth Management & Strategic Initiatives and other Regional Manager, Investments to execute the wealth management strategies and grow the overall business.
- Ensure each direct report implements enterprise contact management strategy and tracking properly and effectively to ensure sufficient sales and follow up activities are in place for successful achievement of financial goals.
- Adhere to requirements for Personal Guides, Investment Portfolio selector, appointment volumes, outbound calling routines and initiatives, life insurance needs analysis etc.
- Review weekly and monthly reports (sales and compliance) and provide coaching on sales, financial advice, operational controls and opportunity management.
Who we're looking for:
- Minimum of seven years successful sales related experience in progressively senior positions within the financial industry.
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years managing and mentoring staff in a team environment.
- A broad knowledge of all aspects of retail banking and Investments is needed.
- A dedicated commitment to sales is imperative.
- Experience within an Advice Centre (Contact Centre) is an asset.
- The incumbent must be results-oriented, flexible and have excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Completion of post secondary education, preferably a University Degree in a related discipline is preferred.
