Position: Regional Manager, Human Resources
Reports To: Director, Human Resources
Position Overview
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Regional Manager, Human Resources will bring broad operationally based human resources experience to act as a trusted business partner to the team. A true generalist in nature, you will provide both day to day and strategic support to the WFW team with a primary focus on Western Canada in all facets of human resources to help support and grow the business. You will leverage your exceptional interpersonal and relationship skills as you partner and interact with all levels of the organization. This position is located in Vancouver.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide professional and timely advice to team members and leadership on the full scope of human resources functions to ensure legal compliance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Establish strong relationships throughout the organization by leading and developing solutions to people related issues.
- Work closely with the WFW Human Resources, Education & Training, Payroll and Health & Safety teams across Canada on projects and initiatives.
- Manage the full cycle recruitment function including working with the hiring manager on their needs, create and/or update the job description, post internally/externally, review applications, screen applicants, schedule and participate in interviews (as needed), create written job offers and manage offer process.
- Work with the leadership team in the onboarding of new team members.
- Consult with leadership team regarding disciplinary action and separations.
- Oversee and participate in investigations when employee relations matters arise. This includes, but is not limited to interviewing relevant parties, gathering evidence, conducting research, analyzing, and preparing investigation reports determining findings, and making recommendations to resolve and remedy complaints.
- Provide support and counsel to all team members and leadership on inquiries and requests related to all human resources functions (group benefits and retirement savings programs, letters of employment, etc.).
- Provide support to team members and leadership with non-work-related injury/illness absences. This includes supporting the team member in the process for the completion and submission of short-term disability and/or long-term disability related paperwork, ensuring the timely completion and submission of the required plan sponsor paperwork and assist in the management of the claim and eventual safe return to work.
- Leverage previous experience in making recommendations and working to implement programs, policies and offerings to the WFW team based on best practices in the market.
- Provide advice on complex performance coaching and counselling situations.
- Work closely with payroll in addressing employee questions and issues as they arise.

Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree, with a Human Resources focus or equivalent education is required.
- 7 plus years of progressive experience in all human resource functions. A true “generalist” type of experience is required.
- Previous experience within a company with multiple lines of business and operations would be an asset.
- A proven track record of and willingness to understand the business and operations and how human resources can support it.
- Strong relationship management skills with experience in partnering, collaborating and building trust with the employee group and leadership team.
- Previous hands-on experience in the utilization and administration of an HRIS program from a human resources function/perspective is required. Previous experience with Workday would be considered an asset.
- Must have advanced skills and hands-on experience working with the Microsoft Office suite of products. In particular, advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, etc.
- Previous experience in full cycle recruitment and onboarding.
- Ability to work collaboratively across the entire organization and all human resource functions to support the business.
- Experienced in effectively coordinating and planning multiple projects, executing multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong change management skills with a demonstrated ability to act as a catalyst for change within a quickly changing business.
