Overview

Education: College/CEGEP

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Work Setting: Associations and non-profit organizations

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

  1. Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
  2. Identify current and prospective staffing requirements
  3. Provide information or services, such as employee assistance and counselling
  4. Prepare and post notices and advertisements
  5. Collect and screen applicants
  6. Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment
  7. Review candidate inventories
  8. Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews
  9. Recruit graduates of colleges, universities and other educational institutions
  10. Co-ordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates
  11. Notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers
  12. Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
  13. Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
  14. Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and co-ordinate termination of employment process
  15. Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training
  16. Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing and record-keeping duties
  17. Recruit and hire staff
