Overview

Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager Recruitment & Training, the incumbent will manage full cycle recruitment including, but not limited to; sourcing, assessing, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding new hires. They will manage all administrative pieces of the recruitment function. The recruiter will also serve as a partner to support all property departments with recruitment strategy and events.

This position is also an integral member of the property’s Human Resources team, working closely with fellow Human Resources professionals in support of the property’s Human Resources’ goals. Additionally, this role collaborates with global support services teams to ensure alignment with brand standards, strategic objectives and innovative initiatives.

Responsibilities

1. Determine best sourcing strategies and resources to drive applicant traffic. Develop new, creative recruiting ideas to successfully find talent and place qualified job applicants into existing openings.
2. Partner with property leadership to ensure understanding of positions, recruitment needs, and objectives and properly address challenges.
3. Ensure relationships with community partners and local schools and other recruiting sources are effective and properly cultivated.
4. Remain current with latest recruiting tools, such as social media and candidate retention management capabilities.
5. Stay abreast of property initiatives in order to anticipate and plan recruitment needs and timelines.
6. Conduct regular follow-up with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting efforts and proceed accordingly.
7. Screen and interview candidates and perform reference checks as necessary.
8. Act to ensure requisitions are filled in an expeditious manner with top tier, guest service driven candidates.
9. Ensure all processes are streamlined, allowing for the shortest amount of time from the requisition approval to orientation date.
10. Serve as super user of companywide Applicant Tracking System; assessment system; and any other recruitment strategy tools assigned.
11. Serve as a mentor to staff and share expertise in order to problem solve and provide leadership with difficult recruiting challenges.
12. Maintain a high level of knowledge of Company benefits programs in order to properly leverage such and attract high-caliber candidates.
13. Organize and plan hiring events and job shadowing programs.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

16. Assist and collaborate in performing a wide variety of relevant projects.
17. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. At least 3 years of previous experience in Recruitment or Human Resources required.
2. Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System, preferably ICIMS and Workday.
3. Experience working with a HRIS System, preferably Infinium and Workday.
4. Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field is preferred.
5. Must be able to obtain a Cat 2 license with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

Additional Requirements

1. Previous hospitality, hotel or casino experience highly preferred, particularly in recruitment or human resources.
2. Ability to travel (10-15%) and work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
3. Fluency in English: additional languages (French) preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1. Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional office setting, but there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
2. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
3. Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
4. Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
5. Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.
6. Ability to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 10 pounds.
7. Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, and loud/noisy environment.
