Receiving Clerk

Summary:

Reporting to the Back Room Department Manager, a Receiving Outfitter is responsible for backend operations including receiving, warehouse, inventory control, replenishment, stocking, and maintenance/housekeeping departments.

Responsibilities:

• Systematically receive P.O.’s that come into the building.
• Physical count of all packages coming into the building and verify count with packing slip.
• Conduct stocking activities from back room to sales floor.
• Perform tasks including folding, repackaging, sorting, facing, and re-hanging of newly arriving Cabela’s Canada product.
• Conduct general replenishment of all departments including facing and hanging merchandise.
• Conduct floor checks including cleaning, updates to pricing and signage, inventory, verification of min/max settings, ensuring that shelves are full and that security tags are in place.
• Assist with merchandise purges when necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work.
• Customer service-oriented team player.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and other business contacts in a courteous, positive, and professional manner.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods, and to move and handle boxes of merchandise.
• Steel toes work boots are required.
• Must be able to obtain a PAL license.
