dnata is hiring Ground Service Agents at SFO Airport!

Pay Rate: $23.25/hr

100% Paid Employee Family Medical Insurance or extra $2.00/hr over base rate (up to 40 hours) with proof of health insurance

You Will

  • Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate
  • Lift, load, unload, and transport passenger bags and cargo to/from aircraft, bag carts, dollies, and conveyor belts
  • Drive and/or operate ground support equipment, such as tow tractors, tow bars, belt loaders, container loaders, baggage tugs, and more
  • Maintain safety and security on the ramp and practice all safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate efficiently with ground personnel and flight crews
  • Understand and follow all applicable federal, state, airport, and company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Work with other departments to ensure on-time performance of flights
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Stand, lift, bend, stoop, walk, crawl, push, and pull for extended periods of time
  • Push, pull, lift, and load up to 70 pounds (32 kg) on a regular basis
  • Ascend/descend jet-way stairs while carrying baggage
  • Read and interpret aircraft load sheets, checked baggage tags, and cargo labels
  • Understand and react to verbal and visual commands and safety warnings, with or without assistance of sight or visual aids
  • Work outside in all types of weather and around jet and machinery noises

This is a Union Position as applicable by law. Our workforce needs to remain flexible in shifts and days off, as your schedule may fluctuate during peak seasons to meet customer needs, requirements of the industry, or to accommodate a shift bid in accordance with the Union contract.

You Have

  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal - as applicable)
  • Must be able to pass SIDA airport and training tests
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Possess basic computer literacy
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodations.
