About Our Client: A respected manufacturer in the personal care and cosmetics industry, our client has built a strong reputation for innovative formulation development and quality products. Their R&D team currently consists of five chemists working collaboratively in a dynamic laboratory environment.

Position Overview: Reporting to the R&D Supervisor, this role focuses on formulating, testing, and reverse engineering personal care products that meet safety standards while maintaining cost-effectiveness and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop original and Brand Equivalent (NBE) cosmetic product formulations
2. Conduct and interpret various testing procedures, including microbial, stability, and challenge testing
3. Interface directly with customers to ensure laboratory meets expectations
4. Collaborate with chemical vendors to maintain necessary material supplies
5. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry innovations
6. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace
7. Analyze and optimize formulation costs while meeting quality standards

Required Qualifications:

1. BS Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field
2. 1-3 years of R&D laboratory experience
3. Demonstrated expertise with basic laboratory equipment
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
5. Experience in cosmetic product formulation
