FCC is currently seeking a Quality Technician 3- CMM Programmer, who will be accountable for establishing and implementing CMM programs, and maintaining quality management systems to measure and control quality in the production process.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain part to be checked from CNC part submissions
- Using check sheet and measurement tools, ensure machine parts are conforming to specifications on an hourly basis
- Data entry (documentation and archiving)
- Review all specific task assigned paperwork
- Identify and address equipment malfunction or concerns and raise with supervisor
- Check machined castings for defects (i.e. broken tooling, porosity, visual defects etc.)
- Verify dimensional tolerances using hand tools, verniers, pins, gauges, etc.
- Return parts to operators with completed check sheets
- Collect CNC non-conformance parts from machines and move to MRB review location
- Enter MRB findings into Epicor system
- Complete full quality inspection for all running parts in the CNC and Foundry departments
- Fill out inspection requirements form
- Review and approve first article submission addressing any non-conformance issues
- Return blue tag part to operator with completed paperwork; if applicable
- Input approach through Epicor system
- Conduct print reviews on updated prints from customers and report to job estimator
- Manage Engineering Change Notice log and communicate task delegation to required parties
- Update controlled documents on server (check sheets, work instructions, travel cards, PIMP forms etc.)
- Inspect incoming parts received from suppliers and input data in Epicor system
- Report inspection times in inspection database
- Issue corrective action to suppliers to address non-conformance issues and ensure timely responsiveness
- Complete ROHOS, Reach, Conflict Minerals Material Reports as required and issue to customers as required
- Coordinate the collaboration of measured and test equipment as per calibration schedule and facilitate the completion of calibration activities
- Evaluate the status of the chromate line and adjust as required (PH titrations) on a weekly basis
- Conduct and follow waste water treatment and disposal process
- Operate CMM machines to perform routine part inspections
- As directed, issue RMA to customers and coordinate the return and identification of those materials
- Create CMM programs that accurately measure part features per customer print requests
- Using SolidWorks as a tool, evaluate the model to assist programming
Administration:
- Scan, label, index and upload all documentation and destroy paper copy
- Identify and contain non-conforming materials and report concerns to department leadership
- Track and monitor controlled goods movement throughout the facility
- Using customer new product specification, prepare documentation to provide to the customer for verification and approval
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all departmental safety protocols.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
- Wear all required PPE.
- Report any concerns regarding departmental hazards to Supervisor/Manager.
- General housekeeping duties.
Qualifications:
- Strong background with PCDMIS CMM Software or similar software
- Proficient in GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Proficient in manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies
- Strong background in quality inspection and assurance
- Experience in ISO 9001-2015 quality management system
- SolidWorks proficiency for design and analysis
- Excellent analysis skills for problem solving
