Quality Systems Manager

Job Description

Talent One recruitment and Staffing is searching for a Quality Systems Manager for a Food Production Company in the city of Vernon, CA.

Candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the administration of documents and audits required to qualify ingredients and suppliers.

Job Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm) (Must be Flexible)
Pay: $80k - $90k (D.O.E)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (Food Science, Food Engineering, Nutrition, or related)
• 3 years experience in a Managerial and Compliance Role.
• Ability to learn regulatory compliance and process requirements (FSMA, FSIS, USDA, FDA, CFIA, PCQI, SQF, HACCP)
• 3-5 years experience working in a plant FSQ setting and supplier documentation.

Duties:

• Design, execute, implement, and support processes on ingredient and supplier qualification.
• Manage food safety and FSMA compliance.
• Conduct weekly audits on Tracegains system.
• Ensure compliance with current food law regulations.
• Follow department procedures and properly document each change control.
• Monitor supplier qualification profile including 3rd party food safety audit results, certificates, HACCP, LOG, Insurance, etc.
• Create and maintain supplier corrective actions report (SCAR).
• Establish and create raw material receiving worksheet accurately in SAP and Specs system.
• Conduct quarterly audits for each non-branded business.
• Manage FDA, FSMA, Foreign Supplier Verification Program.
• Responsible for documentation and reporting of KPI metrics supplier.
• Actively review, analyze, challenge, and provide feedback on ingredient and supplier documents to ensure FSMA and Food Regulation compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
