Job description

What You’ll Do

  1. Develop and execute integration test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  2. Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand integration requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  3. Identify, document, and track defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
  4. Perform end-to-end testing of integrated systems to ensure data integrity and system functionality.
  5. Validate data flows between systems and ensure accurate data mapping and transformation.
  6. Conduct regression testing to ensure new changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
  7. Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback from a testing perspective.
  8. Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
  9. Report test progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.
  10. Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices in integration testing.

Skills and Experience We’re Looking For:

Must Have:

  1. 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on Data testing.
  2. Strong understanding of Data testing and functional testing methodologies and best practices.
  3. Experience with API testing and tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
  4. Proficiency in SQL for data validation and testing.
  5. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  7. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Experience with Guidewire Suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimsCenter, and ContactManager).
  10. Experience with JIRA integration using API.
  11. Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  12. Strong SQL knowledge.
  13. Experience in Agile environments.
  14. Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
  15. Commitment to simplification and continuous improvement.
  16. Experience in the Canadian Personal and/or Commercial Insurance industry.
  17. Excellent verbal and technical writing skills.
  18. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive projects to completion.
  19. Team player who contributes to a positive team culture.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on integration testing.
